Olympic Mixed Team Event in Ski Jumping. Siblings Win Medals, Poles Far Behind

The Polish ski jumping mixed team had a disappointing performance at the Olympics, finishing in 12th place, despite hopeful expectations following Kacper Tomasiak's success in the individual event.

The mixed team event in ski jumping made its Olympic debut four years ago in Beijing, where Slovenia captured the gold medal, while the Russian Olympic Committee and Canada secured silver and bronze, respectively. In that competition, the Polish team, consisting of Nicole Konderla, Dawid Kubacki, Kinga Rajda, and Kamil Stoch, managed to achieve a commendable sixth place, outpacing teams like Norway and Germany. However, the current squad featured a different lineup, including Anna Twardosz, Pola Bełtowska, Paweł Wąsek, and Kacper Tomasiak, who had previously surprised everyone by winning a silver medal at the same venue just a day before the mixed teams competed.
