The body of a man who went missing after a boat capsized in the Passo Fundo River in Campinas do Sul, Brazil, has been found.
The authorities located the body of Osmar Antônio Capeletto, 57, who disappeared after a tragic boating accident on the Passo Fundo River in Campinas do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. The incident occurred on Saturday when the boat, carrying four people including Capeletto and his wife, Ivanir A. Peretto Capeletto, capsized. While Osmar's body was recovered on the afternoon of Monday, October 9, Ivanir's body was found shortly after the accident on the same day.
Two other passengers were on the boat when it overturned but were miraculously rescued alive. According to the local Fire Department in Erechim, the accident happened around 1:20 PM on Saturday near the bridge of the dam, an area known for its difficult access. This necessitated specialized efforts to locate both victims, highlighting the dangers associated with boating in challenging environments like this river.
