A 57-year-old man from Kingston is facing serious charges after Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officials intercepted a parcel at Hamilton airport that contained child sexual abuse material. The investigation was initiated on January 23 when the CBSA discovered the package from China, which they classified as containing a "life-sized doll" used for child exploitation. This alarming discovery prompted the agency to alert the Kingston Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

Following the alert, police executed a raid on February 3 at the suspect's residence, located near Barnsley Crescent and Acadia Drive, where they arrested the man. He was already under a long-term supervision order due to prior convictions involving child sexual offences, which raises serious concerns about his behavior and the effectiveness of the supervision in protecting the community.
