Paula Victoria Chacon, a Venezuelan artist, has taken the traditional Turkish art of Ebru, which involves painting on water, and modernized it with her unique creative touch from thousands of kilometers away in Caracas. She pursued her studies at the Yunus Emre Cultural Institute, where her passion for Ebru ignited, leading her to combine her background in graphic arts with this intricate form of expression. Chacon recently launched a special exhibition with support from the Yunus Emre Institute, where she showcased her work featuring iconic Turkish symbols and famous landmarks, all recreated through Ebru art. Her aim is to familiarize Venezuelans with this artistic style while enriching the artistic landscape of her home country. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Chacon actively teaches interested students about the Turkish language and the techniques of Ebru. Her dedication stems from a lifelong passion for visual arts, which her family has recognized and supported.
