The Carnival 2026 in Cabo Frio, located in Brazil's Lagoons region, officially opens on Friday, featuring a rich program that includes over 60 street blocks and numerous free shows. The opening ceremony will occur at Praça do Guta in front of Praia do Forte, marking the start of an exciting festive season in the municipality. The event is themed around 'Estação da Folia', which will host various activities and entertainment throughout the carnival period.

Additional festivities will take place across multiple venues, including six Estações da Folia, that will serve as designated areas for performances and gatherings. For families, four Arenas Kids will provide recreational activities and musical options specifically designed for children from Saturday to Tuesday.
