Norwegian freeskier Birk Ruud discusses mental health challenges following the paralyzing accident of his friend William Bostadløkken.
After his friend William Bostadløkken was paralyzed in a tragic accident two months ago, Norwegian freeskier Birk Ruud felt the need to seek psychological help to deal with his anxiety. Bostadløkken, considered one of Norway’s most promising freestyle skiers, suffered severe injuries during a training session in the USA, which resulted in a complete spinal cord injury and paralysis from the waist down. Ruud has reflected on his friend's accident as he has been competing and celebrating his own success, including winning an Olympic gold medal in slopestyle.
