In a tragic incident on Tuesday morning, four individuals, including a couple and two young people, lost their lives after the bursting of a dam in Eugenópolis, Minas Gerais, resulted in part of a house being buried. This incident follows a week of heavy rainfall in the Zona da Mata region, which has caused severe weather conditions throughout the area. Additionally, in the nearby municipality of Muriaé, approximately 24 kilometers from Eugenópolis, another man was killed by a landslide caused by continuous rain which crushed the home he was in during the early morning hours. Rescue efforts for the body took around six hours, underscoring the challenges faced by emergency services.
