During this meeting, he invited city and district mayors to participate in this initiative which aims to memorialize significant people associated with Lithuania in various forms. Drukteinis has compiled a list of 130 prominent figures from fields such as arts, politics, sports, and business, including Hollywood stars, Nobel laureates, and state leaders with direct ties to Lithuania.
The core criterion for the selection of individuals is that they are "known worldwide". Drukteinis emphasizes the importance of supplementing the knowledge about Lithuania's illustrious, active diaspora cherishing and preserving Lithuanian identity with detailed information on distinguished and recognized people who share various connections to Lithuania. He believes that honoring these individuals in Lithuania is not only meaningful but will also yield direct benefits to the society.
