Led by a Frenchman: Dismantling of a network for sexual exploitation and intentional transmission of AIDS in Senegal
Senegalese national police have dismantled a sexual exploitation network, led by a French national, resulting in the arrest of 14 individuals on serious charges including pedophilia and intentional transmission of HIV.
The Senegalese national police have announced the arrest of 14 individuals in a significant operation against a sexual exploitation network, described as one of the 'dirtiest cases' by security sources. This operation is a continuation of investigations that began in France, leading to the arrest of Pierre R., a prominent businessman from the Oise region, who is alleged to be the leader of the network. Pierre R., who owns several properties including at least one bar in Beauvais, was arrested in April along with accomplices aged 49 and 42.
The arrested individuals face severe charges that include sexual exploitation of minors under 15 years old as part of an organized group, as well as intentionally transmitting the HIV virus to these minors. Investigations revealed that the key suspect, Pierre R., had been managing the network since 2017, luring young Senegalese boys and transforming them into 'sexual objects'. Alarmingly, he instructed his associates to intentionally inject these minors with the AIDS virus, aiming to eliminate any possibility of them escaping the situation.
This disturbing case highlights serious issues regarding child exploitation and the heinous acts that can occur within organized criminal activities. The international dimension, with a French national at the helm of the network operating in Senegal, raises further concerns regarding cross-border human trafficking and the responsibilities of international law enforcement agencies in tackling such crimes.
