Ana Joyce do Carmo Gomes, a prodigious 14-year-old from Acre, has accomplished an impressive feat by being approved for a total of 23 higher education courses across 18 different institutions in Brazil, including nine new approvals, with one of her significant achievements being acceptance into the University of São Paulo (USP). USP has recently been ranked as the best higher education institution in Latin America for 2024, making her acceptance a remarkable milestone in her educational journey.
Ana has demonstrated exceptional academic abilities, recognized as gifted by the Núcleo de Atividades de Altas Habilidades/Superdotação (NAAH/S), where she has participated in gifted programs for the past five years in Rio Branco. Initially, she had been accepted into 14 courses from eight different universities last year, showcasing her diverse academic interests and capabilities.
Although she has been accepted into the gerontology course at USP, which focuses on promoting health and quality of life for the elderly, Ana expresses a strong desire to pursue a career in medicine.
