By Rain to Krašić: Traditional Pilgrimage of BK Rama Zagreb

Members of BK Rama Zagreb completed their traditional pilgrimage to Krašić on bicycles despite challenging weather conditions.

In celebration of the birthday of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac, members of BK Rama Zagreb partook in a traditional cycling pilgrimage to Krašić. The journey, spanning approximately 65 kilometers from Sesvete to Krašić, was marked by persistent rain, yet the determined group of cyclists persisted in their tribute to their faith in Jesus Christ. Six members of the cycling club were joined by three participants from DBD Potepuh and one veteran from the 4th Guards Brigade 'Pauci' from Split, showcasing a sense of community and solidarity.

Upon arrival in Krašić, the cyclists attended a holy mass, reflecting the spiritual significance of their pilgrimage. Following the mass, they were warmly welcomed by the Mrzljak family, who hosted the participants for refreshments and camaraderie. This hospitality played a vital role in enhancing the communal spirit of the event, reminding participants of the human connections that underpin such religious observances.

In the evening, the group cycled back to Zagreb, totaling around 130 kilometers for the day. Their successful return despite the challenging conditions exemplifies the dedication of the participants to both their faith and the tradition of pilgrimage, fostering a deeper sense of identity within the community of BK Rama Zagreb. This event not only celebrates spiritual milestones but also strengthens bonds among the faithful in Croatia, especially as they honor significant figures like Stepinac in their shared journey of faith.
