A minor caught stealing 5 thousand euros in Šiauliai
A minor was apprehended in Šiauliai for allegedly stealing over 5,000 euros and a mobile phone from a shopping center.
According to the Šiauliai County Police Department, a minor born in 2011 was caught stealing a total of 5,090 euros and a mobile phone from a shopping center in Šiauliai on February 9th. The police report that the minor had committed another theft just a day earlier on February 8th, where he stole smartwatches and various chargers from a different shopping center on the same street, causing damages estimated at 199 euros.
Following the series of thefts, the police initiated a pre-trial investigation on February 9th upon receiving a complaint. The investigation aims to determine the full extent of the minor’s criminal behavior, which has raised concerns about youth crime in the area.
