Employee sells farm feed from his boss to buy liquor in the interior of MG

A farm employee was arrested for stealing animal feed to fund his liquor purchases in the rural area of Água Comprida, Brazil.

A man in the rural region of Água Comprida in Minas Gerais was arrested after stealing four bags of animal feed from his employer and using the proceeds from the sale to buy liquor. The incident, which took place on Saturday, involved the man and an accomplice, who also works at a neighboring farm. The police were alerted by the farm owner, who reported the theft of the feed which had been taken from the storage area of the farm.

During questioning, the primary suspect admitted to stealing the animal feed the night before and transporting it with the help of his accomplice. They sold the feed for R$ 70 and purchased liquor with the money, showcasing the lengths they went to satisfy their desires. The second suspect, who aided in the transport and sale, was also apprehended during the police operation.

The investigation further revealed the identity of the buyer of the stolen feed through a money transfer receipt, which indicated that the purchased items were not just lost in the transaction. This case highlights issues of rural crime and the dire circumstances that lead individuals to commit such acts, sparking concerns about livelihood and illegal activities in rural communities in Brazil.
