East Jutland Police has issued a warning to motorists about potentially slippery roads across large parts of the country due to weather conditions forecasted for Tuesday morning.
East Jutland Police has alerted drivers in the region, which includes Randers, Norddjurs, Syddjurs, Favrskov, Aarhus, Odder, and Samsø, about the risk of slippery roads on Tuesday morning. The Danish Road Directorate's traffic map indicates that many roads may be hazardous due to icy conditions. Authorities advised motorists to prepare and drive cautiously to ensure safety.
The police noted that salt trucks are actively treating affected roads to mitigate the risks posed by the icy conditions. In a public advisory via Politi Update, they urged drivers to set off early and drive carefully to ensure everyone arrives safely at their destinations. Similar warnings have also been communicated by P4 Traffic, emphasizing the need for motorists to adapt their driving habits according to road conditions.
Furthermore, the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) forecasts a cloudy day with chances of light snowfall. Temperatures are predicted to range between -1°C and 3°C, with milder conditions noted in the southwestern parts of the country. This weather increases the likelihood of continued hazardous driving conditions, reinforcing the police's advisory to take extra precautions.
