Latam-GPT, launched on February 10 in Chile, aims to create a localized artificial intelligence model that addresses and combats cultural stereotypes prevalent in a sector dominated by US tech giants. Coordinated by the National Center for Artificial Intelligence of Chile (CENIA), this initiative involves over 15 regional partners from various sectors, including universities, governmental bodies, and NGOs from countries such as Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina.
