Marius Borg Høiby is facing charges of raping a young woman in her twenties in Lofoten, Norway, which took place in October 2023. He vehemently denies any wrongdoing. According to information obtained by VG, the victim had documented Høiby’s name on her mobile phone in a note where he was given a favorable assessment, indicating some level of trust or positive rapport between them prior to the incident. The woman is scheduled to reveal her account of the events at the Oslo District Court on Tuesday.

A little over a year after the alleged assault, police contacted the victim after discovering a brief video recording that purportedly involves Høiby. The footage reportedly shows the woman's naked lower body without her consent, which forms part of the charge against him. Høiby is charged not only with the act of rape but also with the offense of filming the woman without her consent. Høiby continues to deny these allegations, and his legal representative commented that they do not wish to discuss elements of the case that have not yet been examined in court.
