Military and Police Task Force Executes Search and Seizure at Intelligence Agencies, Confirms Additional Charges Against Civilian Suspects

A joint military and police task force has begun a search of intelligence agencies in connection with a North Korean drone incursion case, revealing additional charges against civilian suspects.

The military and police joint investigation task force (TF) is conducting a forced investigation into the National Intelligence Service and the Defense Security Command regarding the North Korean drone infiltration incident. Starting on the morning of October 10, the TF has executed search warrants at a total of 18 locations, including those of the intelligence agencies. They report that additional charges of general treason have been recognized against three civilian suspects who sent drones to North Korea, worsening their legal situation. In total, three active-duty military members, including a lieutenant colonel and a captain affiliated with the Defense Security Command, as well as one employee from the National Intelligence Service, are under investigation as suspects.
