Police arrest man suspected of offering money for intimate photos of teenagers in RO

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Porto Velho, Brazil, for suspected sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography. According to the Civil Police, he allegedly offered money to teenagers in exchange for intimate photos, which investigations suggest began in August 2025. The suspect reportedly approached minors and exploited his influence to commit these crimes.
The inquiry revealed that he specifically solicited intimate images from a 15-year-old boy, offering between R$ 20 and R$ 100 for the photos. Following the victim's refusal to continue sending images, the suspect is said to have threatened him with death and the dissemination of the photos. This alarming behavior raised serious concerns about the safety of minors in the area and prompted a swift response from law enforcement.
The preventive arrest was executed by the Specialized Police Station for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (DEPCA) based on a decision from the Court of Crimes Against Children and Adolescents in the capital. Along with the arrest, a search warrant was carried out at the suspect's residence, where police confiscated cell phones and computers as part of the ongoing investigation into his activities.
