On Sunday afternoon, the Civil Police in Brazil recaptured Victor Rodrigues da Silva, one of four inmates who escaped from a police station in Anapu, located in the southwest region of Pará. Silva, who was facing charges for domestic violence, was apprehended in a residence just a few kilometers from the police facility. The escape occurred late Saturday night, when the inmates managed to saw through the bars of their cell and access the courtyard, a breach that was captured on surveillance cameras.

Initially, the prisoners took advantage of their escape to steal a backpack found in the police station, which reportedly contained firearms and drugs that had been seized during previous operations. The police confirmed that three of the escapees had previously been arrested for drug trafficking and conspiracy to traffic drugs, and remain at large.
