Videos taken by residents captured the moment the crater expanded further as more infrastructure succumbed to the instability, leading the authorities to intercede and restrict access to affected buildings. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported despite the ongoing situation.

This incident has its origins in an initial collapse that occurred on Saturday, the 7th, which prompted immediate response from the civil defense. As the local government assesses the damage and risks, four houses along with an apartment building housing 34 units have been evacuated, leaving 156 residents displaced. The affected families have been relocated temporarily to the homes of relatives and friends as the situation continues to unfold.

In a bid to mitigate the impacts of rainfall and prevent further landslides, emergency measures were implemented on-site, including covering the area with black tarps. Additionally, support was provided in the form of basic food baskets and mattresses for the displaced families, highlighting the community's response to the disaster and the ongoing efforts to ensure safety and aid for those affected by this structural failure.
