Salvador City Hall opens registrations for Social Grandstand of Carnival

The City Hall of Salvador has opened registrations for the Social Grandstand for the 2026 Carnival, providing a safe viewing space for participants during the event.

The City Hall of Salvador has initiated the registration process for the Social Grandstand for the upcoming 2026 Carnival, which is a significant cultural event in the city. This initiative aims to provide a safe and well-positioned area for revelers to experience the Carnival festivities from a strategic vantage point on the Circuit Osmar (Campo Grande). The registration opened on Monday, with the opportunity to secure a spot until Tuesday, allowing a total of 300 spots available per day for interested carnival-goers.

Each participant can register for up to two days of the Carnival celebrations, and they are allowed to bring one companion. However, both individuals must contribute 400 grams of powdered milk as part of their registration, which is a charitable requirement that aligns with the program's social responsibility goals. The powdered milk collected during this initiative will be donated to institutions that care for vulnerable populations after the carnival festivities conclude, showcasing the event's positive community impact.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Secretariat for Social Promotion, Combatting Poverty, Sports and Leisure (Sempre), not only highlights the festive nature of Salvador's Carnival but also underscores the importance of community support and social responsibility. By enabling access to a once-in-a-lifetime experience while contributing to a noble cause, this program brings together the joy of celebration with the dignity of helping those in need in the region.
