More than 60% of applications for the Mi Casa Propia credit have not been qualified

The Mi Casa Propia credit program by Banco del Pacífico in Ecuador is experiencing slow uptake, with over 60% of applications failing to meet qualification criteria.

The Mi Casa Propia credit program, launched by Banco del Pacífico in Ecuador in November 2025, aims to facilitate housing loans with a total allocation of $100 million. So far, the bank has received 434 applications, with the average loan being about $50,000 to fund around 2,000 units. However, the execution of this program has been slower than anticipated, according to the bank's CEO, Iván Andrade Apunte.
