The owner of the bankrupt e-shop Mammoth claims he was unaware of the Apple device deliveries

The owner of the bankrupt e-shop Mammoth stated he had no knowledge of the Apple devices deliveries that had passed through the store, which remain unpaid to suppliers.

The company Mammoth, which operated the now-defunct e-shop Mamut, issued a statement claiming that they were unaware of thousands of Apple electronics deliveries that suppliers have not been paid for. Plus4U, the owner of Mammoth, pointed out that this business model led to a reported loss of 4.1 billion crowns, suggesting that it was orchestrated by managers from the supplier firms J&T Leasing and T-Mobile along with the owner of the recipient companies, Břetislav Janoušek. This assertion was made during a press statement released on Monday.

Both T-Mobile and J&T have categorically denied any wrongdoing in this matter, citing the ongoing investigation. The High Court, in a ruling last December, designated J&T Leasing as a damaged party, a decision that was also confirmed by the police for T-Mobile last week. This set of developments reflects the complexities and the repercussions of the case, as multiple parties are involved in potential liabilities regarding the unpaid shipments of electronic devices.

According to Plus4U's spokesperson, Jan Charvát, it is anticipated that investigators already hold information about where the payments for the Apple devices have ultimately gone and who may have benefited at the expense of others. Plus4U has reiterated the conclusions of its analysis presented at an October press conference, underscoring the seriousness of the financial discrepancies associated with the case and the ongoing legal ramifications for the involved parties.
