Man dies after being stabbed while walking on the street of Riacho dos Machados
A 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the center of Riacho dos Machados during a daytime attack by two assailants on a motorcycle.
On Sunday, October 8, a 35-year-old man was murdered in the city center of Riacho dos Machados after being attacked with a knife. Emergency services received a call reporting an individual lying on the street, and upon arrival, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds on his back, neck, chest, and forearm. Despite the prompt response from the police and medical teams, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that two men on a motorcycle approached the victim while he was walking. The passenger got off the bike and initiated the attack with a knife before both suspects fled the scene towards the nearby town of Porteirinha. Although the police were unable to find any witnesses at the scene, they managed to piece together the circumstances of the crime through security camera footage which provided insight into the incident.
Preliminary findings suggest that the attack may have been motivated by a prior altercation involving the victim at a local gas station. This information was gathered through police inquiries and raises concerns about ongoing local violence and the association of such crimes with previous disputes.
