The new edition of Panini's 'Calciatrici' album has been launched to celebrate Italian women's football, featuring 339 collectible cards of players from Serie A, B, and C.
After the tremendous success of last year's edition, Panini has launched the second edition of 'Calciatrici', dedicated to Italian women's football, to highlight the ongoing growth of this sport. The album was presented in Rome at the Salone d’Onore of CONI, featuring notable figures such as FIGC president Gabriele Gravina, Serie A Women president Federica Cappelletti, and Panini's Italy Collectibles Market Director Martina Limoni, along with the female footballers who are central to the collection. This initiative not only aims to recognize the efforts of these athletes but also to inspire and celebrate their contributions to football.
The 'Calciatrici 2025-2026' album includes a total of 339 collectible cards, with 54 made from special material. The collection features prominent players from Serie A Women, as well as newcomers from Serie B and the newly introduced Serie C. Each card represents the strength, talent, and identity of the women's football movement, showcasing athletes at all levels, from the top leagues to grassroots participation. This album continues to elevate the profile of women's football in Italy and reflect its increasing popularity.
In a special section dedicated to upcoming talents, the album includes young female players who are making their mark in the sport, underlining Panini's commitment to fostering the next generation of female footballers. The initiative not only serves as a collectible item for fans but also as a crucial platform to promote women's sports, encouraging greater visibility for athletes and inspiring future generations to participate in football. This effort is indicative of the larger trends in sports marketing and societal shifts towards gender equality in athletics.
