Iltalehti has launched a new fantasy hockey manager game where over 13,000 teams have already been created, with Finnish players being the most popular selections.
Iltalehti has introduced a new fantasy game called 'Lätkämanageri,' centered around selecting real hockey players to form a team that scores points based on actual game performances. By Monday morning, more than 13,000 teams had already registered for the competition, which begins its first game round on Wednesday. Participants must choose a goalie, two defensemen, a center, and two wingers for their lineup.
The standout selections in the Lätkämanageri game thus far are Finnish athletes, with goalie Juuse Saros and defenseman Miro Heiskanen leading the pack. These players were featured in over 22% of all teams checked by Iltalehti in the morning. Additionally, Canadian star center Connor McDavid also garnered much interest, appearing in over 20% of team selections, making him a popular captain choice among players.
This trend highlights the strength of Finnish players in the hockey arena, reflecting their popularity and performance levels. As the Lätkämanageri competition kicks off, the attention is on how these players will perform in real matches, potentially impacting their fantasy point totals and overall team performance in the game.
