Avindo Chiaca Capinala, a 25-year-old student from Angola, died on February 2nd in a Fortaleza hospital due to complications from a brain tumor, which led to a cerebral hemorrhage affecting his condition. He had been studying Public Administration at the Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira (Unilab) in Redenção since March 2022. His illness reportedly began in November 2025, and he was hospitalized in December for treatment before unfortunately passing away.

Following his death, Avindo's family and the Angolan Students Association at Unilab have started a crowdfunding initiative to cover the cost of repatriating his body back to Angola. The news has been shared across social media platforms, where the association expressed its condolences and called for support to help the grieving family.
