"Ignitis Latvia" Enters the Household Electricity Market

Lithuanian energy company Ignitis has launched electricity sales to households in Latvia, offering several new tariff plans.

Lithuania's energy company Ignitis, through its subsidiary Ignitis Latvia, has officially entered the household electricity market in Latvia as of Monday. This new venture aims to provide consumers with flexible tariff options tailored to different household needs. The company is introducing four distinct plans that combine fixed and exchange prices, catering to various user profiles—ranging from homeowners with heat pumps to those who predominantly charge electric vehicles at home.

The tariff plans include names such as 'Comfortable' for heat pump users, 'Night' for electric vehicle charging, 'Busy' for residents who spend their weekdays at home, and 'Weekend' for those who consume more electricity during weekends. Each plan offers specific time intervals during which electricity will be priced at €0.0651 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), while a standard fixed rate of €0.1301 per kWh will apply at other times. Importantly, these pricing structures will be locked in for a duration of 12 months, providing consumers with budgeting certainty.

Moreover, Ignitis is highlighting the flexibility of its service by allowing customers to change their tariff plans or withdraw from the service without incurring any penalties or contract termination fees. This approach not only aims to attract a diverse range of consumers but also reflects the company's commitment to customer satisfaction in the competitive energy market of Latvia.
