Headphones in the ears and mobile in hand... a brain artery burst while playing the game!
A 22-year-old youth in Meerut, India, suffered a brain hemorrhage while playing an online game, leading to his eventual death after being referred to a hospital in Delhi.
In Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident occurred when a 22-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Kaif, experienced a sudden health crisis while engaged in online gaming at his home in the Khair Nagar area of Meerut. He was wearing headphones and held his mobile phone as he played when he suddenly collapsed, prompting his family to rush him to a nearby private hospital. His condition was deemed critical, necessitating his transfer to a hospital in Delhi for advanced treatment.
The incident took place on the night of February 5, and unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, Kaif succumbed to his injuries on February 8. Reports indicate that he suffered a brain hemorrhage due to a significant spike in his blood pressure, which reportedly soared above 300 mmHg. His family stated that he had a history of hypertension, which had persisted for about a decade, raising concerns about the health risks associated with intense gaming activities.
This incident highlights the potential dangers that can arise from prolonged gaming sessions, particularly for individuals with pre-existing health conditions such as hypertension. It serves as a stark reminder for both gamers and parents to be vigilant about health issues and the importance of taking breaks during extended periods of gaming to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
