Nordic skiing at the 2026 Winter Games: Ski jumping, cross-country skiing, and combination β the Olympic schedule
The 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy will feature Nordic skiing events in Val di Fiemme, including ski jumping in Predazzo and cross-country races in Tesero.
The upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, specifically set in the picturesque Val di Fiemme, are poised to host a range of Nordic skiing disciplines. The ski jumping events will take place at the renowned Giuseppe-Dal-Ben facility in Predazzo, noted for its world-class jumping hills, while the cross-country skiing events will occur at the venue in Tesero. Both facilities serve multiple Nordic combined athletes, allowing for a seamless integration of ski jumping and cross-country skiing disciplines.
The Giuseppe-Dal-Ben ski jumping arena is celebrated as one of Europeβs leading venues for the sport. With a normal hill size of 107 meters and a large hill size of 141 meters, the venue will provide a thrilling backdrop for six ski jumping competitions, including events for both male and female athletes as well as a mixed competition. Particularly noteworthy is the Super Team event for men, where only two athletes from each nation will compete instead of the typical four, changing the dynamics of team strategy in the competition.
Recent modifications to the facilities followed unfortunate incidents during the summer Grand Prix where three female athletes suffered ACL injuries. The adjustments aim to enhance safety for participants and ensure a successful and safe experience at the Olympics. As preparations continue, the excitement builds for what is anticipated to be a key highlight of the Winter Games, celebrating the spirit and skill of Nordic skiing on an international stage.
