Emergency services were called to an incident involving a school bus that had crashed into a ditch on a county road between Vestfossen and Mjøndalen. The Central East Police District reported the incident at 08:29 on Monday morning, indicating a prompt response to the traffic accident. The bus was found partially on its side, raising concerns about traffic conditions in the area.
Around 20 schoolchildren were on the bus at the time, but fortunately, none sustained injuries. The emergency teams were able to open the doors of the bus and ensured that all children were checked by ambulance staff at the scene. Additional support arrived quickly, with another bus coming to transport the children to school afterward, ensuring they were safely escorted after the ordeal.
