Firefighters helped a wounded man in Kaunas clinics to remove a leg brace
Firefighters assisted police in removing a leg brace from a man injured in Kaunas who was attacked and hospitalized after being forcibly removed from a car.
On Monday, the Kaunas fire rescue department reported that around 10:40 PM they received a call from the police requesting assistance at the Kaunas clinics emergency department. Firefighters were needed to help remove a leg brace from a man whose leg was fractured during an incident. The 31-year-old man sustained injuries after being forcibly taken out of a vehicle and beaten by unknown assailants, according to local news portal Delfi.
The incident occurred on Saturday at around 9 PM, leading to the man's hospitalization. Following the event, he was admitted to the hospital where emergency personnel applied a leg brace due to his injuries. Initial reports indicate that the leg brace was mandated by the probation service, suggesting that the victim may have had a history of legal issues.
This situation raises questions about the safety in urban areas of Kaunas and the ongoing issue of street violence. It emphasizes the need for police intervention in similar cases and highlights the role of emergency services in not only responding to crises but also in providing necessary medical support during such emergencies.
