Who is the best president of Poland? Nawrocki chasing the leader. New poll
A recent poll indicates that former president Aleksander Kwaśniewski is viewed as the best by 29.6% of respondents, followed closely by current president Karol Nawrocki at 25.1%.
A recent survey conducted by UCE Research for Onet asked respondents to evaluate who they consider the best president of Poland. The results revealed that Aleksander Kwaśniewski, who served from 1995 to 2005, was the most favored president with 29.6% of votes, emphasizing his continuing popularity among the Polish populace. Current president Karol Nawrocki garnered significant support, coming in second place with 25.1%, reflecting a positive reception during his initial six months in office, which is notable as leaders often face criticism during their early tenure.
The poll also highlighted Andrzej Duda, the previous president, who received 12.4% of the votes, indicating a mixed perception of his presidency as support wanes. Other historical figures, such as Lech Kaczyński and Lech Wałęsa, were less favored, with 8.9% and 5.4% respectively. These results may suggest a shift in public sentiment towards more recent political figures or a response to the changing political landscape in Poland.
The survey was conducted between February 4-6, with a sample of 1,011 adult Poles via computer-assisted web interviews (CAWI). With Nawrocki's presidency now six months in, the poll results could influence his future political strategy and actions, as well as inform public discourse about leadership effectiveness in Poland, signifying how current events and perceptions can shape historical legacies.
