In Colima, four people are murdered; one in front of a temple
Four people were murdered in different locations in Colima and Villa de Álvarez, with one incident occurring in broad daylight in front of a church.
On Sunday morning, four murders were reported across various spots in Colima and Villa de Álvarez, according to official reports. The violence began early, with the bodies of a man and a woman discovered in a canal near Lo de Villa in the municipality of Colima, showing signs of torture. Shortly after, another man was shot dead in front of the San Rafael temple in Las Amarillas, a busy area of the state capital, during daylight hours. In Villa de Álvarez, the body of a third man was found on the highway leading to Zacualpan, bound and accompanied by a threatening message on a placard, as per preliminary reports. Finally, armed individuals fired several shots at a house in the El Valle neighborhood of Villa de Álvarez, though there were no reports of injuries in this incident, highlighting the ongoing insecurity plaguing the region.
