According to the report, this plan includes the construction of a separate complex, internally referred to as the "Israeli Green Corridor," dedicated to carrying out executions. The executions are reported to be conducted by hanging, with three prison guards activating the execution mechanism simultaneously. It has been decided that the execution teams will be composed solely of volunteers, who will undergo specialized training to prepare for this role.
Israeli officials indicated that executions could take place within 90 days following a final verdict. The law is expected to be applied first to members of Hamas who were involved in the October 7, 2023 attack, highlighting the contentious and politically charged atmosphere surrounding this law and its implications for the already fraught Israeli-Palestinian relations.
