Member of the Portela wing dies after sudden illness during technical rehearsal

Jussara Ferreira, a 66-year-old member of the Portela samba school, tragically passed away after suffering a stroke during a technical rehearsal on Saturday, September 7. She had been a dedicated member of the Portela school for 20 years, making her death particularly poignant for the community.
