Lagos studio owner arrested over death of gospel artiste, three others
A studio owner in Lagos has been arrested in connection with the deaths of a gospel artist and three crew members found dead in a music studio.
The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a suspect linked to the tragic deaths of gospel artist Matthew Ogundele, known as Segun Praise, along with three members of his entourage, discovered deceased inside a music studio located in Ajah, Lagos. The other victims included Itunu Ogundele, Joseph Sanya, and blogger Matthew Awosanya, also known as JoesTv.
According to police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi, the arrest was made following an investigation that began at the Ajah Division but was subsequently moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further probing. The arrested suspect is reported to be the organizer of an event for which the victims were booked to perform, and police are continuing their investigation while they await the results from an autopsy.
