Manuela Korossy is set to make history as the first Brazilian to graduate in lyrical singing from the renowned Juilliard School, a significant milestone in the school's century-long existence. Her graduation ceremony is scheduled for May in New York, an event that highlights the increasing recognition of Brazilian talent in the global arts scene. Manuela's journey into music began in childhood, when she started studying at the age of seven. A former classical ballet dancer, she transitioned into opera during her teenage years after participating in a production of Georges Bizet's "Carmen."

Her admission to Juilliard took place during the pandemic, making the process exceptionally unique as it was conducted online. Manuela leveraged virtual courses during the lockdown, and with encouragement from her professors, she applied to the prestigious American university. Out of over 400 global candidates, she excelled in the selection process despite facing health challenges, including contracting Covid-19 shortly before the final audition, which she successfully completed remotely, ultimately earning a place among the top ten accepted students in her program.

In addition to her academic achievements, Manuela made her debut at Carnegie Hall last semester, indicating her rising stardom and the supportive community of musicians she continues to engage with.
