"Harmony" together with the "Center Party" will create the alliance "Harmony Center"; will participate in elections

The political parties "Harmony" and "Center Party" have decided to form an alliance called "Harmony Center" to participate in the upcoming Saeima elections in October.

During the congress of the political party "Harmony" held on Saturday, it was announced that a decision has been made to collaborate with the "Center Party" to form a new political alliance called "Harmony Center". This alliance plans to compete in the upcoming Saeima elections scheduled for October. Jānis Urbanovičs, the chairperson of "Harmony", stated that this move aims to revive the former "Harmony Center" and facilitate collaboration with other organizations and civic movements.

Urbanovičs explained that the alliance's format allows for the inclusion of other associations, and one potential partner could be the movement "Latvia 150", which is associated with Aivars Smans, a leader from the "People's Servants" party. The structure of the new alliance is intended to offer civic-minded individuals an opportunity to engage in politics without formally joining a political party, thereby bringing their unique perspectives and proposals into the political discourse.

Moreover, the political agenda for the election list will be unified, though it is acknowledged that individual members may have differing views on certain details. The work on establishing this new political entity is currently underway, indicating an active effort to reshape political participation among Latvians ahead of the elections.
