In an interview with Al Jazeera at the 17th Al Jazeera Forum in Doha, Mustafa Ahmed Noman, the Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister, highlighted the urgent need for disarmament to ensure stability in Yemen and the imminent return of the new government. He stressed that the primary focus of the new Yemeni government is to restore security in Aden, where there has been a significant security vacuum following the dissolution of the transitional council. This situation has left a gap in the security forces that previously managed security in the area.

Noman elaborated on the government's efforts to establish a disciplined security force under the Ministry of Interior, which will integrate the "National Shield" and "Giants" forces. The objective is to build a military force aligned with the Yemeni constitution. He underscored that achieving success in this security initiative would pave the way for addressing crucial issues such as services and salaries, which are currently the government's top priorities during this transitional phase.

Regarding the return of the government to Yemen, Noman expressed optimism that it would happen soon, noting that the new government had been formed just two days prior and would soon take the oath of office in Riyadh. This development points towards a resurgence of governmental authority in Yemen after a prolonged period of upheaval, signaling a potential shift in the political landscape of the country if security and governance issues are effectively addressed.
