European League Top Scorers Throughout History
Robert Lewandowski became one of the top five all-time scorers in European leagues following his recent goal against Real Mallorca.
Robert Lewandowski, the Polish striker for Barcelona, has etched his name in the history of European leagues by scoring a goal against Real Mallorca. This match, which took place at the Camp Nou as part of La Liga's 23rd round, ended with Barcelona winning 3-0. With this goal, Lewandowski, who is 37 years old, notched his second goal in La Liga for the year 2026 and broke into the top five all-time leading scorers in the history of European leagues according to Spanish publication "Marca."
With this latest achievement, Lewandowski raised his total goal tally in European leagues to 423, tying him with Yugoslavian player Stepan Bobek, who scored between 1942 and 1958, primarily during his long spell with Partizan Belgrade. Both players now share the fifth position on a remarkable list that is topped by Austrian player Josef Bican, who played for Rapid Vienna and Slavia Prague during the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Following Bican and Bobek is the Hungarian legend Ferenc PuskΓ‘s, who famously represented Real Madrid and holds the second spot in this exclusive ranking.
