Inside the seaside dunes hotel – you won't recognize this Palanga restaurant
The MANA SPA's interior design reflects the lightness of windblown sand and warm sunset tones, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
The interior of MANA SPA, located within a seaside hotel in Palanga, Lithuania, draws inspiration from the lightness of windblown sand and the warm hues of sunset. As visitors enter the hotel lobby, they are greeted by organic shapes, rounded corners, and textured clay plaster, all of which collaboratively foster a welcoming and safe environment. The design uses warm, natural color tones, including light and dark wood veneers, moss green furnishings, and neutral grays, to maintain a cohesive aesthetic throughout the space.
The dynamic curved forms in the interior are thoughtfully integrated with lighting solutions, creating a rhythm and mood reminiscent of light wells. Some details are consciously concealed, while others are highlighted, which enhances the overall ambiance. The restaurant also adopts inspirations from Asian nature and culture, aiming for an abstract and modern interpretation rather than direct quotations. Dominating the space are two sculptural rock motifs that serve as key focal points within the dining area.
The restaurant zones are subtly divided with the use of textured solid wood columns, reinforcing the design concept while maintaining a restaurant that is innovative and distinct, reflecting contemporary architectural trends. This sophisticated interpretation of both local and international influences showcases the creativity involved in developing a space that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing for the patrons.
