Teen girl chased by two men who 'tried to lure her into car' as police launch appeal

Suffolk Police are investigating an incident in Ipswich where two men allegedly attempted to lure a teenage girl into their car and subsequently chased her down the street.

In Ipswich, an alarming incident unfolded on Felixstowe Road when two men reportedly attempted to lure a teenage girl into their car around 11.20am on a Friday. According to Suffolk Police, the suspects, who were in a small blue vehicle, approached the girl near the junction with Hines Road and urged her to get into the car. The girl, however, resisted their advances and fled towards a nearby park.

As the girl ran for safety, the men allegedly pursued her down the street. It was only when she screamed that they abandoned their chase and returned to their vehicle. Thankfully, despite the terrifying experience, the girl was left shaken but unharmed, prompting an appeal from the police for any witnesses or further information regarding the incident.

The suspects have been described as one black male and one white male, with the first suspect being in his late teens or early twenties, noted for his dark afro-style hair and distinctive clothing, including a black puffer jacket and grey trousers. The investigation focuses on ensuring the safety of young individuals in the area and seeks assistance from the community to identify the suspects involved in this unsettling event.
