Kyiv Oblast is currently operating approximately 530 invincibility centres, which are facilities designed to provide constant heating and basic necessities to residents grappling with energy shortages. These centres are crucial during this challenging period, particularly given the ongoing attacks on energy infrastructure that have left many without essential services. The invincibility centres are open 24/7 and are equipped with food and power banks to assist individuals affected by power cuts.

Mykola Kalashnyk, the Head of Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, highlighted the severity of the situation, stating that the enemy continues targeted assaults on essential heating and energy facilities. This assault aims to deprive citizens of basic human needs such as electricity and heat. Kalashnyk indicated that the ramifications of these attacks are already apparent, with a significant decrease in overall electricity availability, and warned that a severe deficit will persist in the coming days.

In response to the crisis, officials are prioritizing assistance to socially vulnerable groups. Initiatives have been launched to distribute over 10,000 heat kits to elderly individuals living alone, alongside providing approximately 22,000 hot meals to those in need. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to alleviate the impact of the ongoing energy crisis as the conflict continues to disrupt normal living conditions in the region.
