Sultanes Femenil started their series against the Águila de Veracruz positively by celebrating a 3-1 victory at Walmart Park. The team kicked off strong with a rally of three runs in the first inning, securing their third win of the 2026 LMS season, with this being their second consecutive win. Managed by Rafael Guzman, Sultanes put on a great show for nearly 5,000 attendees who came out to support the team at Walmart Park.
The game's momentum shifted in the first inning when Morgan Howe delivered a two-run single, followed by a hit from Eimy Molina, setting the score to 3-0 in favor of Sultanes. Although the Águila de Veracruz fought back in the sixth inning when Brenda Beers brought in a run, the team faced a daunting challenge with the bases loaded. However, Payton Gottshall stepped up remarkably for Sultanes, striking out three batters and protecting the lead, ultimately guiding the team to victory.
Adding to the success, pitcher Samantha Show earned another win after throwing five innings and allowing only four hits.
