'Revanth has BJP's men within Congress', KTR lashes out ahead of municipal elections

KTR launched a fierce attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, labeling him as a 'Trojan horse' for BJP within Congress before the upcoming municipal elections.

As the political climate heats up ahead of the municipal elections in India, K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), the executive president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, labeling him as a 'Trojan horse' for the BJP within the Congress party. During a roadshow in the Jukkal, Banswada, and Yellareddy assembly constituencies, KTR urged minority voters to look beyond the faรงade of Congress and recognize the underlying BJP identity that Revanth represents. He claimed that Revanth has never truly been a Congress loyalist and is instead closely allied with the BJP leadership in Delhi.

KTR also mocked Revanth's political rhetoric, calling him 'Laggula Thondala Reddy' and accusing him of resorting to foul language instead of addressing governance issues. He asserted that Revanth's government has only one agenda for the past two years: to criticize K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the previous chief minister of Telangana. KTR emphasized that every time the opposition demands accountability for the '420 incomplete promises', Revanth responds with threats rather than constructive political dialogue.

This escalating political battle highlights the tensions in Telangana's political arena as parties gear up for the municipal elections. KTR's remarks reflect a broader strategy to motivate voters, particularly among minorities, to question the authenticity of Congress's leadership and their connections to the BJP, thus signifying an attempt to consolidate votes against the incumbent government. The upcoming elections are anticipated to be a battleground for competing narratives and party accusations.
