Writers raffle books to benefit families affected by fires in the Andean Region
Argentinian and Chilean writers are holding a book raffle to raise funds for families affected by wildfires in the Andean Region of Patagonia.
Following the devastating wildfires in the Andean Region, which stretches across southwestern Río Negro and northwestern Chubut in Patagonia, a group of writers from Argentina and Chile has organized a charitable book raffle. This initiative aims to raise funds to assist families who have been severely impacted by the fires. The raffle features books from notable authors such as Alicia Genovese, Gloria Peirano, Cynthia Rismky, Juan Carrá, Ricardo Romero, Pía Bouzas, Félix Bruzzone, and Julián López.
In response to the call for support, many writers expressed interest in contributing their works, which may result in a larger selection of books available for the raffle. Participants in this literary initiative are encouraged to donate $5000 to the Fundación Sí’s alias DONAFUNDACIONSI in order to enter the raffle. This acts as a dual opportunity for readers to both engage with literature and contribute to a vital cause.
The event highlights the strong community spirit and solidarity among writers who are willing to use their platforms for altruistic endeavors. As the event unfolds, it has the potential to not only raise necessary funds but also draw attention to the ongoing plight of those impacted by the fires, reinforcing the importance of mutual support during times of crisis.
