The third national Eurovision selection has begun

Lithuania's national selection for Eurovision 2026 has commenced, featuring 40 entries competing for the chance to represent the country in Vienna.

The national selection for Lithuania's participation in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest has kicked off, with 40 different entries vying to earn the right to represent the country in Vienna, Austria. The selection process is structured into five semifinals, after which the finalists will be determined. Viewers and jury members will play a crucial role in making the final decision.

The grand final of this year's national selection is set to take place on February 27 at the 'Twinsbet' arena in Vilnius. The event is being hosted by Gabrielė Martirosian, Rimvydas Černiauskas, and Eglė Kernagytė-Dambrauskė, with Eglė being a new addition to the hosting team. As the hosts introduced the event, eight performers took the stage, each presenting their respective Eurovision songs, showcasing both established and emerging talent from the Lithuanian music scene.

In this phase of the competition, notable entries include Agata Ray with 'Gravity lies,' Juozas Martin's 'Atmerk akis,' and Akire with 'Šiluma,' among others.
