In a drone attack in Sudan, 24 people were killed, including eight children

A drone attack in Sudan has resulted in the deaths of 24 individuals, including eight children, according to a medical association's report.

A tragic drone strike in Sudan has left 24 people dead, including eight children and infants, as reported by the Sudanese Doctors Association. The parastatal group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted a vehicle transporting displaced families near the city of Rahad in North Kordofan province, an area already suffering from severe shortages of medical supplies. The families were reportedly fleeing from ongoing conflicts in the Dubeiker region at the time of the attack.

This incident follows closely on the heels of an attack on a World Food Programme aid convoy, which highlights the volatile and dangerous situation for civilians in Sudan. With increasing violence and humanitarian crises, the Sudanese Doctors Association has urged the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to safeguard civilian lives and hold the RSF accountable for their actions.

The continuous cycle of violence in this region raises alarming concerns over the safety of civilians and the dire need for humanitarian intervention. As the RSF has been embroiled in conflicts for about three years, the unaddressed violations against civilians call for a concerted response from the global community to protect those affected by such unjust actions.
