In a tragic incident in Kota, Rajasthan, a building suddenly collapsed in the Jawahar Nagar area, where a restaurant was operational at the time. The building's collapse led to panic in the vicinity, with reports indicating that 20 children were trapped under the debris. Immediate action was taken by the police, rescue teams, and ambulances, who rushed to the scene to begin search and rescue efforts. Among the trapped, two children have been reported to be in serious condition and were transported to a medical college for urgent care. The rescue operation is ongoing as teams work to remove debris and extract individuals trapped inside the collapsed structure. Authorities have cordoned off the area as a precaution against public access, which has heightened concerns for safety. District Collector officials reported that seven individuals suffered injuries as a result of the collapse. Education and Panchayati Raj Minister, Madan Dilawar, has arrived on-site to oversee and monitor the relief efforts being made.  The incident reportedly occurred around 8:45 PM on Saturday evening and has raised questions regarding building infrastructure and safety regulations in urban areas of Rajasthan. The building that collapsed was the Muradabadi Non-Veg restaurant, and this catastrophe might prompt local authorities to investigate the structural integrity of similar buildings in the region.
